Bluetooth connection

I have a i phone 15 and just purchased a mac book pro 2023. I can’t connect them via Bluetooth does anyone else have this issue.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.6

This is by design. While there are many shared activities on your Mac an iPhone that require that Bluetooth be turned on, they do not need to be paired in the traditional sense.

Possibly: Use Continuity to work across Apple devices - Apple Support
