Safari can't connect to a specific server

On my Mac, Safari won't connect to a specific server (all of my university's websites).

I tried the following steps, which didn't help:

Connecting from a different WiFi (and from a hotspot)
Restarting the computer
Deleting browsing history and cache from Safari
Setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8

It's worth mentioning I'm able to access the said sites from Brave browser.

(Needless to say I'm not having the same issue accessing other websites).

How do I open an IP address in Safari I use a MacBook Pro 16″ (intel/2019) and MacBook Pro 13″ (M1/2021). I am not interested in having additional browsers in my ecosystem. The issue is that when I browse to a website using IP addresses Safari adds www to the beginning , like this www.192.168.1.1 which prevents me from accessing this local resource. I also have my test platform a Dell Powered R630, 256Gb, 4x500G drive array and none of this matters. I am simply trying to connect to an IP address based resource, reliably. I have seen this question asked in forums from Reddit to here and I see no reliable solution to simply not wanting Safari to add www to the URL that I am trying to access. How do I get around this issue that only happens while using Safari. and No I am not interested in a bunch of browsers in my eco system.

Safari (and other Apple / Mac App Store apps) won't connect to the internet, but other browsers will Recently started having trouble with Safari not being able to connect to the internet even when other browsers and non Apple apps can. A restart fixes it, but if I close my MacBook or use a different app for a while and come back to Safari it says I am not connected to the internet. It also affects all other Apple apps, as well as apps downloaded from the app store (Twitter, Prime Video). However, I am still able to use browsers like Edge and apps like Outlook have no issues connecting. I am running MacOS 13.3.1 (a) on a 2021 14-inch MacBook Pro.

Safari unable to connect to Asbury Seminary website on iPad and Mac mini Safari cannot find a server at American Seminary: Asbury Seminary.
