iPad Air shuts down during game play

IPad Air model A1474 update current iOS12.5.7, storage 13.2 GB used of 16GB. Downloaded lates update of boom beach 434.7 MB Game opens but shutdown after 70 seconds.

whilst using ipad it randomly makes glitch noise and blackouts then reboots whenever i play games such as roblox my screen randomly turns black with one line glitching and moving only once to the side rapidly and it then blacks out showing the apple logo and my ipad shuts down. however when i used snapchat on spotlight it did not glitch at all and lasted for almost half an hour. the ipad shut down after i left the app. i have no clue what is going one. i was told that it might be battery problems but im very unsure about this. my local apple store is like 24 miles away from me which i would not want to go just to get my ipad checked so i just wanted to post this to see if anyone has the same issue and could clarify what is making my ipad do this. this happens on my ipad 7th generation. also just to note my ipad after it shuts down and opens first shows the battery as 3% (lower than how it was before) then after i get wifi it goes back to its normal battery which was 9%. i dont know if this is supposed to be normal.
