Phone in water

So my phone fell in water yesterday night and I needed it for school today. Before now it used to switch off and switch back on by itself but when I don’t use it I turn it off but from 16:30 it hasn’t done that. However there’s this annoying vibration sound that was never on my phone before (not the usual iPhone vibration sound) and I only noticed it today, while the shutting down happened last night. What do I do?

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17

iPhone and water are mortal enemies. The best recommendation we can offer is if you can backup the phone, do so immediately, then power it off and place in a warm dry place (NEVER put an iPhone in Rice) and leave it off for a couple days. After a couple days, if it powers on and works normally, you may be OK. But there's more chance its visit in water will cause permanent damage and the phone will need to be replaced. Apple won't typically fix a phone which is damaged by liquid intrusion. They'll instead offer an Out of Warranty replacement phone (assuming it is a recent enough model to qualify for replacement) at a reduced cost over new to you.
