Screen frozen on “Sign in with your Apple ID to activate iMessage.”

I’m on an iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation) running on iOS 17.1.1 and it is and has been stuck on this screen for quite a while. I’m completely able to close and open the app, press the buttons, and scrolling is absolutely responsive, but the text boxes are not able to be edited and I’m kind of stuck.
