Do MacBook Pro M3 keyboard protector cause damaged to the screen?

Hello.

I'm about to buy a new MacBook Pro M3 Max. I'm curious about keyboard protectors and screen protectors.

I see that a lot of people apply a screen protector to their Mac's and they use a keyboard silicone protector... but I've read mixed reviews.

My question is: do these protectors cause any harm to the equipment? For example, do keyboard protectors cause damage to the screen? And screen protectors? Do they also harm the screen in any way?

Thank you.

Here is the answer:

Using a camera cover, palm rest, or keyboard cover on a Mac notebook - Apple Support

Just to add, do not use a screen protector or keyboard cover. They do not serve any purpose and the screen protector may damage the screen. The keyboard cover may interfere with cooling of the computer.

Wash and dry hands before using the computer, if you don't want oil from your fingers to show the key indentations on your screen. Do not leave food or drink near your computer, to avoid accidents that could permanently damage your computer.

While there are some LCD cleaners out there that are highly rated, I've mentioned some in the past on this forum only to get banned for a couple months.

Since we can't question policy, I just don't recommend any anymore.
