Calligraphy pen and watercolor brush are missing on my Freeform app

Why don’t I have watercolor brush and calligraphy pen on my Freeform app although I have installed ipados 17.3.1 (iPad 8:th gen)?

Swipe to the right where the tools are to see the other hidden tools.

The “Pencil” tool is missing! The “Pencil” tool is missing in the notes app. It looks like it’s been replaced with a fine tip sharpie tool. However it does appear in the Freeform app (beta) & when marking up a screenshot. Any way to fix this? I have the 2022 iPad Pro.

Apple Pencil left corner swipe for screenshot not working when other apps are open I have an iPad Air 3rd gen on 16.1.1. I use the swipe feature to grab screenshots all the time to insert them into notes apps. Now, if I have any app open, when I use my apple pencil to swipe from the left corner of the screen to grab a screenshot it doesn't work. However, if I do the same thing on the home screen it works fine. I've tried turning the feature off and on as well as restarting and hard-resetting the ipad. Nothing seems to work. Anyone else having this issue? Other suggestions?

Screenshot via gesture in Books app sometimes doesn’t work on IPad When trying to take a screenshot of a book page in the Books app by using a gesture I turned on in settings (swipe finger from bottom left corner) it sometimes doesn’t work (approximately, it fails to work every 5-4th time). Every time it works, it forces the set of tools from markup to appear, irrespective of whether I’m using Apple Pencil or not. Every time it doesn’t work, IPad enters the screenshot mode but the set of tools doesn’t appear and after a second it just closes the screenshot mode and goes back to the exact place were I was in the book. I make somewhat long pauses (approx. a minute) between taking screenshots and also change between apps to paste cropped screenshots. The issue was much more frequent on the previous iPadOS version. When taking a screenshot by pressing the power and volume button this problem doesn’t appear. The markup tools also don’t appear forcefully. This happens on IPad Pro M4, IPadOS 18.3
