I am unable to add a card to my Apple Wallet

I’m having the same issues as everyone else with not being able to add my card to my apple wallet . I believe the issue is with Apple and this is why; I was successfully able to add the same cards to my friend’s Apple wallet with no problem.

I reached out to my card issuer (RBFCU) and they too were unsuccessful with adding the card to my Apple wallet. I was told by the card issuer they received a message stating my Apple account has a FRAUD alert from a previous debit card that was attached to my apple wallet. which is preventing them from adding my card to the wallet on there end.

I reached back out to Apple support and was told I don’t have any alerts on my Apple account. And the message the card issuer provided to me was untrue.

I have performed every trouble shooting theory the support community has provided and still no success. I have reached out to Apple support 10 or more times and still no success. I have even went to the Apple Store and still no success.

Per my case rep he has escalated my case to the development team for further investigation.

Can someone tell me if a Fraud alert on the Apple account is really a thing and how do I get this resolved?

Yes this is correct. try reach out to your bank and ask that this profile/token be removed, that way you can add your details to Apple Pay. I'm not convinced that this is an issue with Apple.

Update #2:

After a few weeks of leaving it alone and not trying to add any cards, I was just able to add the last set of problematic cards to my apple wallet successfully. Additionally, my apple account balance was also successfully added.

So the solution to this problem may be to leave things alone for a few weeks and try again after that. Time seems to solve it, but that's not the most convenient obviously.

I’m glad you were able to resolve the issues that affected your iPhone and Wallet.

There are several timers that banks may choose to implement. It’s my understanding that some reset after 24 hours, others reset after 7 days and still others reset around 30 days. The latter being related to suspected fraud flags. In my experience these flags can be triggered by several user actions. The most frequent cause is trying the add the card repeatedly. I think anything beyond 5 attempts in 24 hours start the clock counting. Beyond that is pure speculation on my part.
