How to create a columnar phone list (name, phone number, email, birthday) ona 2022 MacBook Air

Do I use pages? I don’t seem to be able to do that (My 83 yr old brain may be electronically challenged 🤔).

I don’t have a Word app that will do this either.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.4

You could use:

  • Pages
  • Numbers
  • Word
  • Excel
  • LibraOffice
  • (and several others)

I mentioned Pages and Numbers, as you most likely already have those apps. (Apple includes them free with MacOS).

Numbers might be more familiar to you, as a blank sheet is already laid out in column/row format.

But you can insert a table into a Pages document, and it too is laid out in columnar format, with as many rows and columns as you prefer.

To help, you might want to look here:

You should also be able to find YouTube videos on Pages and Numbers as well, if User Guides aren't your thing.

Hope this helps.

Pages, Numbers & Keynote are NOT included with macOS, but they are free to download from the Mac App Store. The difference is significant in that if you erase your Mac & reinstall macOS, the apps are not automatically installed.
