how to delete quicktime player on my macbook pro with OS Sonoma 14.3.1

Hello, I downloaded Quicktime Player to my new Macbook Air with version Sonoma 14.3.1 because i thought i needed the movie player to play all my old videos from my previous iMac.

I could see that the version downloaded is not really workable.

Now i tried to delete it. No way .

I find it in the finder under applications but cannot move it to the recycling folder.

Any help would be appreciated

That is the current version that is installed with MacOS in the Applications folder and cannot be deleted. That would not be the software you downloaded.

QuickTime Player comes installed in the Applications folder with the OS and cannot be deleted. Not sure if you downloaded something else or another version, but that one you downloaded should be able to be deleted.
