What if I convert to eSIM but never took out my physical SIM card?

I converted my old iPhone to eSIM but I never took out the physical Sim card. Should I take it out now even though I went through the whole process to convert to eSIM?

You can take out the SIM card. It was canceled when you converted to eSIM, so it is no use anymore.
