When someone blocks you on their iPhone (or any other device for that matter), there's no built-in notification that lets you know for sure. It's all about looking for clues.

Here's the breakdown:

  1. Calls: These might go straight to voicemail, or you might hear a single ring before voicemail kicks in. It can vary depending on the carrier. When someone you've blocked tries to call you, their call will go straight to your voicemail. They won't be notified that they are blocked, but they may realize it if their calls consistently go to voicemail without ringing on your end.
  • Texts: These will typically appear to be sent normally on your end, but the recipient won't receive them. Blocked contacts won't be able to send you regular text messages or iMessages. They won't receive a delivered or read receipt, and their messages won't show up on your device. Again, the blocked person may infer that they are blocked if their messages consistently go unanswered.
  • FaceTime: If someone you've blocked attempts to FaceTime you, the call won't go through, and they won't be notified about the block.

However, these signs could also mean other things, like the person's phone being off or on silent. That's why it's just guessing without any surefire way to know.

If it's really important to get in touch with this person, you could try:

  • Calling from a different number.
  • Sending an email (if you haven't been blocked there as well).
  • Reaching out through a mutual contact.

But remember, if someone has chosen to block you, it's best to respect their decision. The person being blocked generally won't receive any notification or indication that they have been blocked. They may notice the lack of communication, but the specific reason won't be confirmed unless the person who blocked them chooses to inform them directly.
