How to know if a number is blocked on iPhone

As already said, there are no signs. It would be a good guess someone may have blocked you, if you continue to text or call them and they never respond. But if you're looking for anything definitive, there isn't anything.

Sorry, but that is TOTALLY, UTTERLY, COMPLETELY wrong. As KitledTim suggests, there are a number of reasons a call can go to voicemail after one ring. And that in no way tells you you've been blocked as there is NO WAY to know if you've been blocked. Anyone can block you for any reason. Other than them never responding to you, you don't know if they are ignoring you or they blocked you. Period.

There are no signs. You will not know if you have been blocked.

I suppose the biggest signs would be that they never take your calls or answer your messages.

It doesn't matter whether you own an iPhone or another smart phone. If someone has blocked you, there has never been a way for you to know. It's a persons right to block numbers they don't want to hear from.

That's incorrect.

There are multiple reasons why the call would go directly to voicemail without ringing at all.
