I managed (I think) to backup the photos from a very old Ipad (ios 5.1.1) to icloud backup
Then I installed I cloud on the PC, I can see the backup, but I can't find out how to download it onto the pc. 3 screenshots below
What am I doing wrong please?

As you have seen this is an O L D Ipad. Emails don't send, I've added a new gmail account, so it has its own smtp, but they just sit in outbox
I've tried a dozen online drives (dropbox etc), most refuse saying to enable java, but the ipad says it is, httpS secure sites say no.
Can't find how to sync to icloud
Bluetooth doesn't want to connect

Actually it's completely easy. Doh!
the charger cable doubles as a data transfer cable, you plug it into the usb port on your pc, and it wordles a bit and then, lo and behold, the ipad appears as a drive on the pc
Backups are not browsable or accessible. You would need to sync photos to iCloud instead or share by email, airdrop, online drive service, etc.
