iPad Magic Keyboard compatibility

I’m trying to find details of different versions of the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11”. Are all previously released keyboards compatible with all iPad generations?

All models of the iPad Pro 11" share identical physical dimensions.

A Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro 11" is compatible with all generations of the iPad Pro 11".

Sorry I think I phrased the question badly.

I have just bought a latest generation iPad Pro 11” and I have a family member that has a Magic Keyboard but it is probably about 4 years old.

I can’t see if there were previous versions of the Magic Keyboard (Wikipedia suggests there might have been but doesn’t give details) so I’m wondering if they will be compatible.
