What a shame for a company like Apple not to allow to use an Apple pen with the track pad McBook Pro M1

Many Users assume the 'smarts' is in the pen. But most cases, the 'smarts' is built into the device the pen is interacting with.

Neither the TrackPad nor the TouchBar was ever intended as a pen input device. Both are optimized for fingertip input.

However, pen input works great in an iPad, and an iPad can be used as an additional display device an a MacBook Pro, so you can get pen support, just not directly on the TouchBar or Trackpad.
