Screensaver

My apple tv has been using a photo album in my MacAir as a screensaver for years. It stopped working(just a spinning icon), even though I could access my photos through the computer app on my apple tv. Then I couldn't access the photos. I get a message saying "No Libraries found". I have tried to reboot computer and restart the apple tv. No luck.

The apple tv is connected via Ethernet and the MacAir is connected via wifi, but this wasn't an issue before. I have another apple tv in my home which current have this problem, and it is also connected via wifi.

Also, when I try to use the Apple Photography option as as screen saver, it won't play those either. I can only use Aerial photos.

Any suggestions as to what the problem is?

Thanks

When I go into the computer app on my Appletv, i am given a No Libraries message,so I can't reset my screensaver there, or even access my photos from my Mac.

If I set the screensaver from the apple tv, I can access shared albums (which I think are in the cloud) and set one as the screensaver, but it won't play as a screensaver, even though I can go into the shared album and play a slideshow of the same photos. This makes me think there is a problem with the screensaver itself or the Apple TV

I have signed in to both my Mac and the apple tv with the same Apple ID. There are two Wifi networks, because one is from the router and one from the bridge. I have tried using both on the Mac, and both works, but neither connects it to the Apple tv.

Try setting the screen saver again from the Computers app Photo album.

Else try setting up Home Sharing again on the Mac. Verify that it is set as active.

Note that the Apple ID for Home Sharing as set on both devices should match.

Note that both devices should connect to the same home network. Verify that your router combines (bridges) both the wireless and the wired into one logical network [should be default for most consumer routers]. Guest networks [internet access only] and other forms of separate subnet setups [multiple SSIDs] could prevent devices from communication with other devices on the network. I tried disconnecting from the Ethernet and just use wifi. At first it looked like the photos started to appear, and then stopped. Not all albums or folders showed photos. I tried using one that did have photos showing as a screensaver, but it wouldn't run. The only screensaver that works is Aerial.
