gmail account no longer connected via my MacBook air

Changed password for Google. Changed it on all devices yet, my Gmail account on my MacBook Air now says "offline" and gives me an Auth Error 400, contact developer 2.0 or something like that. Cannot get it to reconnect. Have restarted computer about a dozen times, cleared the cache, no idea what is going on.

Are you accessing your Gmail from:

  • The Apple Mail app?
  • A web browser? Which one?
  • Another email client app?

Have you tried removing, and then, re-adding your Google email account System Settings > Internet Account?

Do you use two-factor authentication with your Google ID? If so, did you create an app password with your Google account to allow you to access their services via the Apple Mail app?
