iPad muffled mic sound while using FaceTime, Zoom, Voice Memo

I can hear the other people, they can’t hear me. However, recorded sound is clear using front or back camera.

iPad 10th gen here, not Pro. Had muffled mic problems with FT, Zoom, and also with Voice Memo, yet recording audio/video via the camera sound worked fine, both front and back. So, I figured a software problem, very annoying, and I began using earbuds for all calls.

Solution:

Recently I updated iOS to 17.3.1 and now, automagically, the mic picks up in all apps. So it must have been one of the last updates that screwed it up.
