iPhone 15 Pro Camera problem

I recently purchased an iPhone 15 Pro and discovered an issue with a camera setting that apparently is not on the radar yet:

Portrait mode/stage light mono AND Portrait mode/High-Key light mono are not working properly.

On my iPhone 8 this feature produced wonderful results - on the iPhone 15 Pro it does not work at all. The images are almost produced in negative and really over-produced leaving a completely non-usable end result.

I have attached an example.

The Apple Genius Bar dude told me that he had never seen this before and started out confidently saying that 'this is likely just a simple fix'

Sadly that was not the case. He even brought out 2 other iPhone 15 Pro's owned by co-workers and got the exact same results as with my phone.

In the end he told me that my options basically boiled down to returning the phone and getting another 15 Pro that suffers the same issue OR waiting for Apple to come up with a fix as more reports come in.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?
