Pages Background Settings

In Pages, how to I change the background color or revert to a white background. I started a document with a black background when I was writing at night. I thought that I could simply change the background to white but it is not that simple, apparently. I already tried to copy the text into a white background Pages document. This does not work. It copies the black background and the white text like they are merged together.

There is no changing a black template to a white template. Open a new Pages document using the default blank template which is white. Copy/paste your content from the black template to the new document.

Unlike MS Word or LibreOffice Writer, there is no changing the document background color based on the System appearance settings, or via application preferences. In Word, you can configure a black background that does not persist into the saved, white background DOCX template.
