It is well known that with laptops that have ventilation openings on the bottom, it is not recommended to have them in one’s lap due to risk of dust buildup.
The MacBook Air M1 have no such openings. Does it mean that it is safe for the computer to have it on your lap?
And I’m not asking this because I’m concerned about my lap :) I’m asking in order to take good care of the MacBook.

You can use your M1 MacBook Air on your lap just fine, without causing any damage to the device or dust buildup 😄
Though if you are running any sort of programs that require high processing power, it may get a little bit warm, but that will not cause any damage to the device.

It should be fine. Not that if you happen to be male, you really should be more concerned about your lap… regular and extended application of heat to that area is not recommended…
