Incorrect medial s typography in Pages

Hoefler Text's typographic features come out beautifully in Apple Pages, with one exception, however. Medial s (long ſ) wrongly shows up at ends of words that are followed by punctuation. For example, Pages wrongly shows "owners)" as "ownerſ)," and "owners—" as "ownerſ—." It seems Pages treats punctuation as another letter in the same word. This can be fixed by slipping in a space, but that is wrong, too.

Second, I have a document in which typographic features are used in the main text, but are not used in the apparatus, such as notes and a bibliography. So in the same document, the same word "arise" is used once with typography ("ariſe") and once without. In this case, Find will only come up with the nearest example; it does not seem to recognize each separate example as the same word in this case.

Also, I believe that double final esses at ends of words should both appear as terminal esses. For example, Pages shows "wilderness" and "bless" as "wilderneſs" and "bleſs," which I believe are mistakes. (Which makes the esses look something like German ess-zed, ß.)
