Homekit configuration on Apple TV HD

I'm trying to have my Apple TV HD Model A1625 (4th gen) configure homekit. Been at it for two days now and I run out of options. Tried everything. It keeps saying it's syncing with icloud, but this should not take ages.

I need to have it intstalled as I do want to use it as a HUB. My Hue bridge won't connect to my home-app without it and i can't control my thermostat while outdoors with it.

Anyone a clue or hint?

Well done.

Else I would have advised to use the Home app on iPhone to verify that the Apple TV box has the intended home designation and room designation. That communicates both ways for HomeKit: edits on either device propagate to the other (well, to iCloud really).

Solved. keep trying the same thing over and over again. I completely restored the Apple TV and MANUALLY configured it (so i didn't use my iPhone). That did the trick! It's working like a charm now!

Thanks everyone for reading and thinking this over. Time to get some sleep now (lol)
