Hi,
I run lots of shortcuts on Numbers tables and recently I've been facing an issue that I can't fix. Has anyone encountered the bug where when you select a row and click ''Add Row Above'' or ''Add Row Below'' the content of some column of the row you added from is copied over?
I tried duplicating the sheet be the bug still follows. Thanks

I was able to find and fix the issue. Basically, the issue was coming from a quick filter applied to the Column C on the mobile app. I'm assuming the auto-population of the field in Column C was using the last entered text which matched the applied filter.
Removing the filtering fixed it and the issue isn't occurring anymore. Thanks Badunit and SGIII

Not a formula? Is your "shortcut automation" doing it?
Manually adding a new row does not copy data into new rows, only formulas and only if it detects a pattern. Or that's how it is supposed to work.
Edit: it will also copy structured data cells such as pop-up menus and checkboxes to new rows
It would help if you could post a screenshots of your table and of your shortcut.
shift-command-4, drag crosshairs to select area, release, start new post here and use the mountains-and-moon 'Image insertion' icon beneath the compose window to attach the image from the Desktop.

In general it would be onerous if it did not copy formulas to the new rows. Every time you add a new row you would then have to copy all the formulas into it. If you had any hidden columns with formulas in them you would have to unhide them, copy/paste their formulas, then hide them again.
When you say "content" do you mean both cells with values and cells that have formulas that calculate values?
Formulas often copy into newly added rows as a convenience.

Thanks for the explanation. Although, in this context, I don't have formulas or hidden content. Picture below shows the C Column which contains only text.
The only automation is from my Shortcut that uses the ''add a row at the top of this table'' automation to add values to each specific cells in the sheet. Aside of starting a new entire sheet, I can't think of a way to fix this so that's why I'm writing here

What I mean is that the copied content is just the text from one specific column. See picture below.
Column C is just text that is filled by my shortcut automation. Unsure why it does that but is there a way to turn off this ''convenience''?

This is a transaction table so basically my Shortcut ask simple stuff like
And split the values across the different members in the other following columns. I'm not sure if magic variables used in ''ask for inputs'' are considered as formulas but this is how the inputs are transferred to my Numbers Table.
