Which font applications are the best for Mac?

I am a freelance graphic designer using mostly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I am currently using Connect Fonts as my font management system, but have had some compatibility issues. What recommendations do people have for the best font programs to use on a Mac compatible/easy to use with Adobe programs. I use system fonts, as well as continuously download fonts from (reputable) online sources like Font Space, Creative Market, etc. Thanks!
