As mentioned on De-Reviews.com, is it better to remove adware manually than using software?

I found one video on website De-Reviews.com.

This video has provided guide to remove adware from Mac in very detail. However, at last I confused, because at the end of this video, it has mentioned that it is better remove adware manually than using software.

So, should I use softwares to remove adware or not?

Thank you.

There is never a need to download, install, or use any product to remove adware. Read Removing "Search Marquis" / "Search Baron" / etc on your own - Apple Community.

I would not trust other remove adware apps than malwarebytes (I would not get the paid version just scan with the free one every now and then) and etrecheck

and if they did not resolve the issue I would find a guide how to do it manually

too many of these remove stuff apps want to get you stuck in some subscription to make a profit (can't blame them I guess as if they have employees then they to get paid)
