I very much dislike the Focus app and I am asking Apple to remove it from the next update of the OS, or at least not make at mandatory. It is just too much of a hassle. Next thing is that I will be required to wriggle my toes at a certain time of day.

There is no “Focus App”. It’s a feature built into the OS.
It is NOT “mandatory”. There is no requirement that you use it at all. if you don’t like it, then don’t use it.
Would you please tell me how to disable the Centre Stage feature? I have a new mac mini and mac studio display about a month old that uses Centre Stage (similar to the said "Focus app" it seems?) If it's not mandatory, I'd like to disable it. I can't find a way to do this in the settings, by searching online, or trying to disable it in video apps, such as Zoom. All the information that comes back seems dated. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I'm able to get there, however I don't see anything there about the Centre Stage feature of the Studio Display camera, nor any options to disable it. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Center Stage is completely unrelated to Focus. Focus allows you to control notifications so that you're not, for example, distracted by personal notifications while you're working. Center Stage, on the other hand, automatically adjusts the front-facing camera while using certain apps. See here:

Control Center > Click the Stage Manager button.
Or, Desktop & Dock System Settings.
I have never heard of center stage. I assumed you meant stage manager. If center stage is different from stage manager I don’t know what it is or how to alter it.
