Your battery is probably dead and can no longer hold a charge. You'll need to replace the battery or keep the iPod connected to a power bank when it's away from the computer. iPod Repair & Service - Apple Support

my ipod 6 battery only holds power for 45 minutes even when fully charged and not connected to wifi or bluetooth I do everything to minimize battery power, including not fully turning off the ipod when not in use, and using it offline when not plugged in. Will a battery replacement fix this issue?

New Old 6th generation iPod Nano Battery won't take a charge I got an iPod nano 6th generation new in a sealed box, it won't take a charge. The Genius Bar told me they don't replace the batteries in this any more, no new batteries available through Apple. Is there any way to get it to take a charge, or do I just have to get a new battery. It works fine when plugged in.
