iPad set up stuck on wallet card verification

I am setting up my brand new iPad Air using the option to transfer data, apps etc. from the last iPhone backup. The set up is stuck on wallet, asking for verification of one of my credit cards. I selected verification by OTP which I received by text but there is no means of entering it on the iPad. Pressing Next just results in another OTP message from the bank. Choosing ‘call bank’ and ‘complete verification later’ does nothing. Selecting ‘call bank’ and ‘Next’ creates a pop up saying ‘call bank later..’ but then pressing OK takes me back to when the same card verification screen so there’s no way of getting out of it or moving on. Help please!
