MacBook M1 Pro Heating up

Hello! Lastly, my MacBook works a bit slowly, before updating on a new version (now on Sonoma 14.3.1) had a couple of force restarts and now MacBook is heating up constantly. For example, projects in Ableton Live that before worked fine now could go up to 85 Celsius (I didn't know the temperature because I installed thermal metering now). Now I'm just browsing and have ~40 Celsius (a bit normal I guess). Here's my EtraCheck report. If someone could help, it'd be great. Thanks in advance!

First of all you need to uninstall CleanMyMac since it is notorious for causing all sorts of problems from Kernel Panic system crashes & severe performance issues. Uninstall CMM by following the developer's instructions....even then some parts may still remain. Run EtreCheck again and post the new report here.

The other huge issue is that you are running too low on Free storage space with just 16GB of Free space listed at the time you ran EtreCheck. When you are working on projects, you may be running with even less Free space. You never want to completely run out of Free storage space or bad things will happen. With the APFS file system, when you completely run out of Free space, then you will no longer be able to even delete files to get more Free space due to how the APFS file system works. Ignore the "Available" storage value since it is very misleading....it is so unfortunate that Apple has macOS show it everywhere. macOS requires at least 20GB+ of Free storage space all the time. Keep in mind that different workloads will require temporary storage space, so having just 20GB Free may disappear very quickly for some workloads.

The SSD write speed is way too slow. Chances are this is due to both CMM and also not having enough Free storage space. When an SSD runs out of Free space, the write speeds can greatly decrease and it will increase the wear on the SSD as well. The write speed is about 800MB/s when at the very minimum it should be at least 1,600MB/s. Theoretically it should be even higher, but that can depend on the system workload too.

Are you required to run the PACE software? If not, then you should uninstall that as well.

macOS does not need any anti-virus apps, cleaning/optimizer apps, or third party security software. These types of apps usually causes more problems than they solve since they interfere with the normal operation of macOS. One other note.....VPN software is only useful when you are connecting to a company's VPN server to access resources on a business/employer's network or to bypass regional restrictions. Here is one reference:

I hope you have some form of backup since it does not appear that you are using Time Machine. Backups are extremely important if you value your data. There are a lot more new ways to permanently lose access to data on the internal SSD with these newer Macs due to all the hardware, software, and security changes. Usually it is extremely difficult to impossible to recover data from a Mac's internal SSD.

I'm not a macOS software expert, so I hope other more knowledgeable contributors will chime in regarding the other third party software you have installed since you have a lot of software that I am unfamiliar.
