Hello,Louis6545 i had a similar issue. this is what i did If the "Start Workout Reminders" option is not showing up in the Watch app on your iPhone, and you are not receiving workout reminders on your Apple Watch, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check Software Updates:

Ensure that both your iPhone and Apple Watch are running the latest versions of their respective operating systems.

  • On your iPhone, go to "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update" to check for iOS updates.
  • On your Apple Watch, go to "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update" to check for watchOS updates.

2. Reboot Your Devices:

Restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity and synchronization issues.

3. Verify Health and Fitness Settings:

  1. On iPhone:
    • Open the "Health" app.
    • Tap on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
    • Go to "Devices."
    • Select your Apple Watch and make sure that "Workout" is enabled.
  1. On Apple Watch:
    • Open the "Watch" app on your iPhone.
    • Under the "My Watch" tab, go to "Workout."
    • Ensure that "Start Workout Reminder" is enabled.

4. Reset Fitness Calibration Data:

  1. On iPhone:
    • Open the "Watch" app.
    • Go to the "My Watch" tab.
    • Tap on "Privacy."
    • Select "Reset Fitness Calibration Data."
  1. On Apple Watch:
    • Open the "Settings" app.
    • Go to "Privacy."
    • Choose "Reset Fitness Calibration Data."

5. Unpair and Re-Pair Your Apple Watch:

If the issue persists, you may consider unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch. Before doing this, make sure to create a backup of your Apple Watch to preserve your settings and data.

  1. On your iPhone, open the "Watch" app.
  2. Go to the "My Watch" tab.
  3. Tap on your Apple Watch at the top of the screen.
  4. Select "Unpair Apple Watch."

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the unpairing process. After unpairing, you can set up your Apple Watch again and check if the workout reminders feature is available.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be a good idea to contact Apple Support for further assistance. They can provide more personalized guidance based on the specific details of your setup and any potential software issues.

By the way, right at the start you said “used to send out workout reminders”

Well not really. If you set out walking briskly swinging your arms without starting a walk workout it says words to the effect that “you seem to be walking, do want to start a workout”

If you go for a gentle stroll with hands in pockets or holding a dog lead it will not.

Does that help?
