(2m) usb c to lightning charging cable

this cable strictly stays attached to my computer and stopped charging my phone. I removed the cable from the computer and connected the cable to the charging block and still it doesn't recognize the attachment. since this chord was stationary its entire usage and is in new condition what can I do? order another one?
