Updating MacOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6
Is it possible to update my laptop so it can be faster and it can be ok to use the new google chrome?

Weather, and how far, you can update depends on your Mac's model and hardware model year / time of year. You can find this information in the About This Mac dialog in the Apple () menu.
Note that Chrome requires Catalina or later … and Catalina doesn't run 32-bit applications. If it turns out that you can update the Mac far enough to use the latest Chrome, there may be other compatibility issues.
