What is the best converter for MP4 to MP3? I can't seem to find '4K' anywhere when I google search. This is what I use when converting MP4 to MP3 on Windows. But now have recently starting using our old MacBook Air. ... not sure what year it is, but it's a few years old.

mp4 is kind of a catch-all format because it can refer to many different components. What do you mean by it? Typically you see mp4 referring to moves whereas mp3 is audio only.
There are many, many Mac audio/visual converters out there and "best" will depend upon the exact situation. It will also depend upon the kind of mp4. The Music app can handle some, though Apple has it own naming conventions for those. For pure audio I use XLD. The interface is a bit tricky since everything is set up in Preferences, but it is highly configurable and handles many audio formats.
