what are the size differences, I’ve only seen that they are pretty much the same

No, they can't. Regular 13 use LTPS screen while 13 Pro uses LTPO screen which enables Variable Refresh Rate. Just because they have same resolution and same cost to repair in Apple doesn't mean they're interchangeable.
