Same Problem other users on this thread have posted about. Since recent iOS update the Mail app is showing erroneous contact in a “reply to” line (usually of a contact from unrelated email that was recently viewed). Update was iOS 17.4.1, the device is iPhone12Pro, account is Microsoft (hotmail/outlook/exchange) which is a SIGNIFICANT problem for timely, reliable and privacy in communication as email is a core function of smartphone. Hoping @Apple please priotise a patch/update.

Same problem. Sometimes there is a reply to email address that is associated with another contact. I have also noticed that after a while, the erroneous reply to address will disappear. Reported problem to Apple and the advisor informed me that the other users have reported the same problem. Nothing to do but wait for Apple to fix the problem.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Email issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected email.

When running multiple mailboxes on iPhone 13, If I get an email in one mailbox and then move it to where it needs to go, if the second mailbox gets a forwarded email from the first mailbox, and I try to move it to the appropriate folder for that mailbox, the mail app brings up the first mailbox folder listing instead of the folder listing of the current mailbox. The email cannot be moved across mailbox accounts so I can not longer file the email in the second mailbox.

The same problem is happening with me and I called Apple support. They’re insisting they’re going to call me and fix the problem which I know they’re not reading all these complaints. Come on Apple fix the problem some very important documents almost went to the wrong email address with me so this has got to stop. I’m surprised it’s taking Apple so long now. Does not make me feel good owning an Apple iPhone.

I updated my iphone 12 promax to the 17.4.1 too, but our phones will not send email out after the updates. I use Hughesnet through the email app. Never had a problem until we updated our phones. I checked with Hughesnet and my settings are correct. No reason this should be happening on their end. Anyone else have this problem? Solution?
