There is a WhatsApp update available in the app store following the release of iOS-17.4 (the most recent update).Next, make a WhatsApp update.

That resolves your issue.On my iPhone 15 Pro, I just tested it, and it worked.

This is happening with my iPhone as well. It seems to have started on 8th March 2024. Duplicate photos in photo album when sent via WhatsApp. I can’t say if it’s happening with text messages as haven’t received any texts with photos as yet.

soo I faced the same issue after 17.4

I did something and it works for me(iphone 14 pro max)

so what you can try is:

go to whatsapp> settings> chat> save to camera roll - turn that off!

close whatsapp and come back after a minute and again go to settings> chat> save to camera roll - turn it back on!

this wil fix it. Atleast for me!!

Here’s the solution if your facing double pictures being downloaded in your photos in iPhone..

you will need to update your wats app,

please follow the steps below..

How to update:

1/ Go into the ‘App Store’

2/ Click on your profile pic (top corner)

3/ Scroll down until you find ‘WhatsApp’

4/ Hold your finger on the WhatsApp icon (do not click open)

5/ Another window should appear with an update button visible.

Click this and you’re problem is solved

How to update:

1/ Go into the ‘App Store’

Solution:

1. go to AppStore
2. Type and search whatsapp
3. download update (under what’s new it has mentioned that they have fixed copy pasting images

Update came out 3 days ago. My phone usually updates automatically but hasn't done so. This identifies the fix for the bug.

There is no WhatsApp update, don’t think these conversations would be happening if it was that simple.

Same here , I’ve been searching for a solution but none out there . I’m using a 15 Pro

It started yesterday before upgrading to 17.4
