I have accidentally put hand sanitizer on my charging brick

I have accidentally spilt hand sanitiser gel on the 3 pins of my charging brick. It is the USB-c plug that was affected. Initially, both the USB-c plug and the charging lead had hand sanitiser but, I have connected the lead to my laptop and it works completely fine. I have seen other posts saying to let the sanitiser evaporate but also saying there could be a residue after it evaporates. What should I do?
