how do you get logic pro x to record a track from ssl12 loopback?

I've set my SSL12 loopback to playback 1-2, but I can't set the logic track to that, as "loopback" is not visible.

If I just set the track to inputs 1-2 and try to record, the supposedly looped back audio is not present.

Any thoughts please?

Cheers

Setting a track to inputs 7-8 in Logic Pro did it for me

OK. I see that the the loopback is done through the 360 mixer software. It isn't a button/switch on the interface itself ?

Anyway. Check the SSL forum to see how it might work in Logic. I googled it and nothing came up.

One workaround is I use Audio Hijack to record audio from apps, Youtube, etc. So you might give that a try. You can record just what you want to use and import the audio file into Logic.

Hi Morozco, thanks for the response.

I'm trying to get audio from YouTube - as you guessed ;) - into Logic.

I can see the audio on the 360 mixer that comes with SSL12, but no matter which loopback I select there, all I get appearing in Logic when I select the input button as per your post are the usual inputs listed, ie no loopbacks!

I'm hoping that I'm simply doing something wrong, but I can't suss it!
