MacBook is only device that connects but has no internet when using my iphone hot spot

MacBook Pro on Sonoma 14.3 was connecting and accessing the internet when connected to an iPhone13 hot spot. After the Iphone update, the MacBook connects but has no internet access. The MacBook connects fine to other WIFIs as well as another iPhone hot spot. The other interesting thing is that other devices connect fine when using the iPhone13 hotspot that is not working on my MacBook. I have tried everything: rebooting devices, updating MacBook, renaming iphone13, forgetting network, etc. Nothing makes it work. What can it be?

System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > ...

then click (advanced) and choose the DNS pane. if you don't have your preferred DNS numbers handy, you can use these from OpenDNS. (There are others if you prefer others, including the ones provided by your ISP)

...

if you find that already populated with Zeroes, that does not work. If you find your router's local IP address (like 192.168.1.1 that does not work because your Router is bypassed and you are going direct to cellular. If you find other numbers, those DNS servers may not be working properly. Sometimes your cellular DNS numbers need to be different from your local through-your-Router DNS numbers.

Hidden network that means it has settings that keeps it from advertising itself as a generally-available Wi-Fi Network. That is sort of what you expect -- you do not want just anybody to attempt to connect to it, its YOURS.

that DNS number fe80:: 1494:6cff:fe52:3c64 is an IPv6 number. it MIGHT be useful on your network, but generally does nothing for you on the Open internet.

if you don't have numbers you prefer, just delete that and put in the OpenDNS numbers in that pane. Then close the pane and save changes, as these panes are notorious for not activating changes until you do so.

if you are not getting success talking about this with other Mac users here, you really may need official Apple support.

They can read what you have posted here if you give them your avatar or a link. Apple support does NOT accept our conclusions at face value, they have their own more rigorous processes.

But the first responders are NOT as well trained technically as are many Readers here, and you WILL need to Be Assertive and ask for a specialist if they cannot immediately solve the problem. Do not let them tell it is fine if it is not fine.

Allow me to clarify my point. I have tested internet connectivity on the same MacBook using a wifi and another iphone hot spot (not the one referenced in this issue), and both work. I am able to open web pages with no problem.

I then tried to test the iphone I am having problems connecting with with other devices and they are able to connect and reach the internet using its hotspot.

The only combination that does not work is connecting my MacBook Pro with this specific phone. The connection is established but not internet. I also noticed that when it is trying to connect, the Wi-Fi Settings screen does not load up quickly. Takes a couple of minutes as if it is taking a lot of memory. This combination was working before and the only thing that has changed since then is a Mac OS update. Not sure if that messed up anything.
