Weather widget displays wrong city

My iPad 9th generation continues to display New York weather in the weather app widget, despite my already having deleted all locations except for Los Angeles and the city outside of Los Angeles I live in. I’ve got the latest update so that can’t be it. The widget displays New York, and when I tap on it to open the app, a window pops up that opts me to add New York or cancel. I cancel each time but the widget remains the same. I’ve turned the device off and rebooted, with no results.
