Liquid detected in your device

Water and electronics do not make happy bedfellows. Your iPad is not designed to be water resistant. While it may survive being splashed with water if immediately dried, it will almost certainly suffer irreparable damage if submerged or is allowed to become wet.

You would be best advised to take your iPad along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assess your iPad. don't believe it's meant to ever go away, it's a way for apple to see if they get defective devices in that it's because of them being exposed to liquid which the warranty would likely not cover, so if you doing your best to dry it out but the liquid caused damage was still a thing they would be counterproductive for their indicator going away.
