Microsoft AutoUpdate

I recently bought a Macbook. Whenever I switch it on theres a small screen that pops up saying "we detected a problem running microsoft autoupdate", please see attached screenshot. Anyway, I try to fix it and click on OK and a new screen comes up asking to troubleshoot and it never fixes anything. Its a new laptop im not sure whats causing this issue. Any ideas please? Thank you!

Microsoft autoupdate problems I have office for mac installed, but RARELY use. When I do, I often see the request for activating the autoupdater, which I did. Then problems happened as it never actually updated - it just ran & ran & ran etc. I stopped it being a LogIn item, but it still was.... I then deleted the app (Library/App Support/Microsoft) and restart, shut down, etc multiple times to make sure it did not--BUT--the app still shows in Sys Settings/General/Login items. How do I remove it from showing (not switched on)?

Delete Microsoft AutoUpdate on an iMac I just cannot find this bad boy to delete it. I've looked in the Microsoft folder and in my applications folders. If it is there, it has a different name. I've tried search for Microsoft AutoUpdate.app and AutoUpdate.app with no luck. This guy keeps popping up several times a day to advise me to upgrade - I do not wish to do so. I'm using Word, PowerPoint and Excel on my iMac. Any advice on how to find it and delete it would be much appreciated.

Incomplete software updates on iMac My imac computer consistently says it needs to do a software upgrade and all users need to be logged out for it to complete overnight. I have gone into software upgrade in settings and done all the upgrades but the message always reappears in the top right of my screen. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
