Bar Tabs in Pages?

I use MSWord most of the time. I use text alignment features often (but in greater detail necessarily than the outline feature can afford). To compensate I then insert the bar tab for easy access for my eyes to find parallel structures. Does Pages have that feature or anything close to it that is fixed rather than my having to insert freehandedly lines and/or arrows? I would prefer to use Pages, but this feature is essential to my work. The bar tab lines do not appear in Pages when I open documents created in MSWord either.

A Guide is a thin blue line down or across your document that doesn't print. It's just there as a reference. Objects will snap to it and it helps you to see spacial relationships between objects on your page.

I should add a note to head off your first Guide problem. You create a Guide by clicking on the ruler and dragging a line off the ruler onto the page. You can grab the line at any time and move it about. If you decide you're tired of the line, you can drag it back to the ruler. Create as many lines as you wish. BUT, you can't create a line unless you have a graphic object in your document -- a Shape, a Table, a Text Box, etc., and at least one of the objects is Selected. If necessary, Insert a Shape and leave it selected while you add lines, then delete the object.

There - all you need to know about guides...

Hey… Hoh, be quiet.

Here we are end users like you. We aren't your slaves. You, Word use, know what you want but many of us don't use Word so, when you describe your problem we tried to guess what you are asking about.
If you aren't satisfied with the way *_three reknowned helpers responded_*, try to guess what was missing in your question.

I guessed that your problem was related to the tab stops and the Ruler but if the three others didn't, it's mainly due to the original question wording.

And for sure, if you aren't satisfied by Pages features, hurry up, return to Word. We will not worry about that !
