Unable to access WiFi away from home

When in a parking lot or anywhere outside, it tells I’m not connected to the internet. I have bars but can’t connect. If I’m in a store or business it’ll connect to their internet. This has been this way since I went to T-Mobile. Although they’re not sure why.

Hello Teri424, I take it you can connect to your home Wi-Fi when inside, but have problems connecting when you step outside your home. Your Wi-Fi signal may not be strong enough to reach out past your home walls. There could be other factors affecting signal strength. If possible you might trying moving your Home Wi-Fi Router to a different location in your home to see if that helps. Once you pass your Routers range you'll have to depend on Cellular for your internet connection.
