Unable to fix blurred videos on LinkedIn

When I am trying to see a video on LinkedIn the video is blurred. Before I hit the play button the picture is clear but once I click on the play button, the video becomes blurred but you can hear the audio. My OS is Monterey Ver 12.7.3. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Finally fixed re 30 July Safari updated to version 17.6 (17618.3.11.11.6, 17618)

Videos working fine in Safari running on Monterey 12.7.6 (21H1320)

Took a bit of time but thank you to the Apple team who sorted this.

It's not only the blurred videos on Linkedin.

You also cannot "hear" the name pronunciation voice recording.

Not even when you try to update your own.

What is this with "media in general" on Linkedin???

Under "Safari preferences/Websites/Auto-Play/"

I have set "linkedin.com" to "Never Auto-Play"

which makes the experience a little less annoying.

The advantage of all of this is that you watch less video, and listen more actively to the audio.

So that you listen more attentively to what is being said instead of being distracted by what is being shown.

Now this doesn't work in all cases but if it's an excerpt of for example a podcast. It's really beneficial I believe.

Let me know what you think.

(and in the mean time use Google Chrome to have everything working as it should)

I just updated Monterey to 12.7.4 on a MacBook Air 2017, Safari's now up-to-date as well 17.4 and still this problem is not gone. If I use DuckDuckGo to watch YouTube videos, it plays as per usual, any other site seems to be doing this video thing right EXCEPT Linkedin. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's Linkedin who wants to push people to use a browser other than Safari. I see this a lot in other apps/websites.

However ... Logging in on Linkedin on Safari on iPhone (7 Plus) it shows normally.

Why?!?

For a few months now, all video images on LinkedIn have blurred. Only on Safari (mac Monterey version 12.7.4). The LinkedIn tech team - after several back and forth emails - said it is Apple that is at fault. Not sure, but as the app works on all other devices bar my iMac, maybe it is an Apple problem. Did Monterey come along a few months ago too? Can't recall.

Is there anyone watching these threads from Apple that can venture a suggestion? Beyond saying it's LinkedIn's fault - placing all with error in a loop.

The blurred videos started at some point - it all worked fine earlier. So, either LinkedIN or Apple made changes that causes these problems.

I have 2 different Macs with both Big Sur and Monterey OS ... they both cannot show videos. And of course 2 different versions of Safari ....

It started suddenly - in both OS ... So, it must be some changes made by Apple or LinkedIN ..
