After installing Airtags on my iphone can’t see in on Find my
iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 16
Is this a brand new Apple AirTag? Did you purchase it directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller? Did it successfully pair with your iPhone?

Are the following things enabled on this phone:

Bluetooth
Find My
Location Services
are all turned on....
Not aware of these and couldnt find them anywhere
I got new airtag (first time) Installed it yesterday and it was connected. Now I cant find it and it's like it never existed. I turned Iphone off and on again. removed battery and reinstalled it (beeped when i put battery back in.
Still cant see it on phone
Significant Locations: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations
For Precision Finding you would need to have an iPhone 11 and newer.
It just may be possible that you have a defective AirTag.
