Beginning Text Sequence Behavior

Hello!

I am incredibly new to motion (and have to teach it) and looking for direction on how to perform what most likely is an easy text behavior.

I have created a Portal opening at the center of the animation over 2 seconds and I would like the individual character of a last name to fly in from the center of the portal to their respective positions.

Would anyone be able to point me in a direction or video that does something similar?
