I have been searching how to change or find my iCloud email password but it’s been hours and still unable to do so.
i am trying to sign in to my Outlook mail client but there is no option on the internet to know what my iCloud password is!
this isn’t the same as my Apple ID password and therefore I’m unable to sign in in Outlook! Please help!
iCloud and iCloud email use your Apple ID and password. However if you are signing in to iCloud email using a 3rd party app such as Outlook, you need to use an app-specific password (and that requires two-factor authentication being on). It worked!
the issue was Apple misguiding me
The text says sign in with your Apple ID, but that's not true, only signing in with my Mobile number worked, which I did out of frustration as my Apple ID email and my recovery email were simply too long to type!

I had already tried the App-Specific Generated password, which failed yesterday, I generated a new one and that failed again too.
I tried today as well, same issue and I still am unable to use Outlook for my iCloud email
